Lancaster County's

19th Century Iron Industry

Rivertownes PA USA is a non-profit organization that manages and preserves the Musselman-Vesta Iron Furnace Center and surrounding iron furnace remains.

We also cultivate art, heritage, and recreation in the river towns of Columbia, Marietta, and Wrightsville.

Rivertownes PA USA is an all volunteer organization that works to improve the river towns of Columbia, Marietta, and Wrightsville. In recent years, we have become the caretakers of the anthracite iron furnace heritage in Lancaster County.

On the last Saturday of June, Riverfest honors the anniversary of the Columbia-Wrightsville Bridge burning that prevented Confederates from entering Lancaster County. Enjoy re-enactors and music. At dusk, fire on the historic bridge piers closes the event.

Join us for a guided tour of the iron furnaces between Columbia and Marietta! 2020 Tours are available on the first Sunday of November and begin at Musselman-Vesta at 1 PM. The tours last about two hours. Call 717.314.4060 for more information and registration.

Members of the public are invited to Rivertownes meetings held on the first Wednesday of each month except July.

Meetings are held inside the Musselman-Vesta Iron Furnace Center at 6:30 PM
